There are many ways to exercise, and Zumba has added the fun to it. If you’re not familiar with Zumba, is a Latin inspired dance exercise class.
Essentially, Zumba is a fun, high-energy workout experience that keeps you excited to exercise and return for more.
Zumba is a full-body workout that can improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility!
It’s not like a regular dance class, and you don't have to be a trained dancer to enjoy it, you can move at your own pace, and all the steps are shown to you by cueing as you move at the same time. So, it really is for everyone - whether you’re new to dance, or a pro!
Each week we tend to work on the same routine for a period of time. We do this so we can progress together - and once everyone has mastered the routine (which everyone eventually does!) I bring in a new routine and challenge.
The repertoire of Zumba steps themselves remain the same but are used in new songs and in different orders, so it’s not just exercising the body but the brain as well. Remembering dance moves is excellent for improving your memory - it’s like learning a new language.
Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Reggaeton steps are just a few of the dance moves you’ll learn, and these are considered the main moves in Zumba. I guarantee you’ll pick them up, and who knows, maybe you’ll even use your new moves at the next party or family event you’re at!
Think of Zumba as more like a party as you dance yourself fit with these easy steps to Latin style music.
You will sweat, you will burn calories, and you will smile.
The more you enjoy your exercise routine, the more likely you are to stick with it. So finding a workout that you love is so important, and Zumba makes this so easy - you don’t even realise you’re working out.
